Guided bike tours & more

It is well known that you take in an area much more keenly if you haven’t lived there since childhood. That’s certainly true for me: 20 years ago, I moved to Langenlois from a rural area east of Stuttgart.
In keeping with the motto “Mens sana in corpore sano”, I like to clear my head whilst riding my (road) bicycle. This is how I came to know and appreciate the nearby and wider surroundings.

Having moved to this place, I have a different perspective, and that’s what I like to show my guests.

After many years of experience in guided bicycle tours in and around Langenlois, in the Kamp Valley and with passengers on Danube river cruises in the Wachau Valley, I passed an exam in 2021 to become a Bicycle Tour Guide.
Since 2024, I have been entrusted by Yukon Academy in Mautern as instructor in this training programme in accordance with the guidelines of Austrian Outdoor Safety Standards ÖNORM S2417-1 und S2417-2.
In March 2023, I successfully passed the examination to become a Safety Expert for Outdoor Activities.

No one can resist the charm of a picturesque cellar lane… To find out more, I trained as a cellar lane guide back in 2012. On a stroll through a cellar lane, I can tell you fascinating stories about its history and the people who live there. A visit to a vaulted cellar beneath the vineyards, the black cat and a wine tasting are, of course, an essential part of the experience.

As a translator, editor and social media specialist, I’m used to being flexible and spontaneous.
Naturally, I apply this approach to requests for cycle tours, wine cellar tours or hikes – whether for a couple, a family celebration, or a club or company outing.

You naturally cover the greatest distance by bike. The duration, length and difficulty are entirely up to you. Together, we can explore the wonderful Krems and Kamptal valleys, the Waldviertel and Weinviertel regions, or the Dunkelsteinerwald. And of course, I know the Wachau like the back of my hand…

Quo pedalis?

Even if you’ve studied a bicycle route in great detail, planned it meticulously on Komoot and saved it on your smartphone or Garmin device, there will always be places where you’re not quite sure which way to go… Don’t let that spoil the enjoyment of your ride – instead, come and explore the beauty of our countryside with me. Along the way, I can also tell you all sorts of stories – to amaze you, to make you smile, to keep you listening. Holidaymakers, seminar participants, club outings
  • Are you on holiday in the Wachau, in Krems or Langenlois and the surrounding area? And have you now fancied a bike ride? I live and work in Langenlois, so even with short notice, nothing stands in the way of us going on an adventure together.
  • Are you attending a seminar or a training course for your company at a hotel? A bike ride is the perfect opportunity to get some fresh air and chat outside of work.
  • A bike ride is also ideal as an outing for clubs or companies!

The duration, length and difficulty of a tour are entirely up to you. You can enjoy the wonderful scenery on an e-bike or a “purely muscle-powered” bike.
Don’t have your own bike with you, or would you like to try out a different one while you’re here?

Are you looking for a change from cycling?

How about a Wachau safari or a canoe trip on the Danube?
The Yukon Academy offers a slightly different kind of team-building experience, away from the usual seminar rooms.

Email me or give me a call at +43 650 3422217.
Together, we’ll find the tour that perfectly suits your needs – and it might even end in a cellar lane (see above)…
